Bucks Youth Dance Company

BUCKS YOUTH DANCE COMPANY

Bucks Youth Dance Company is a high-energy performance company for passionate young dancers aged 12–19 in Buckinghamshire. Our exceptional training programme develops technical, creative, and performance skills through contemporary practices, original choreography, and professional-level rehearsals every week.

This year, we’re proud to have been selected for Making Moves with Sadler’s Wells, giving our dancers the opportunity to perform on a national platform. Our programme also embeds Rambert Grades, offering an internationally recognised framework to support each dancer’s growth and achievement.

Beyond performance, dancers gain a 360° understanding of the dance world, from creating work and performing, to exploring participatory practice, technical production, and design. We work collaboratively, encouraging dancers to engage fully in the creative process both in and beyond the studio.

Across the year, dancers perform at major events such as U.Dance, Honeycomb Festival, and Buckinghamshire New University’s Dance Show. We open pathways into further and higher education, conservatoire training, and careers in the arts, with optional Arts Award, placements, guest artist sessions, and theatre trips.

Developed in association with Buckinghamshire New University, BYDC is co-led by Pippa Fisher-Coldwell and Louise Kelsey. We are proud partners of Young Creative Bucks and Pips Dance Academy.
